its so frustrating that when you intentionally shop, nothing seems nice. when you’re not intentionally shopping, everything suddenly seems nice.

like, seriously! i walked down orchard from f21, topshop, zara , h&m, and ion and i couldn’t find a single dress that i liked. is this insane or what.

i have no idea how i’m going to turn out an econs ia draft as i’ve got no clue as to what inflation is all about. like the theories and diagrams and whatnots. econs this year seems so hard ):

not to mention my ee draft that was due today. i’m hoping she forgets and that i’ll get a longer time to complete it.

PE today was fun. hahahha. we ran  2.1km and trained pull ups. it was really tiring though.

got a mad sugar rush after drinking the super sweet milk tea from the sac.

was fidgety and all. D: but it keeps me awake, and hence serves its purpose i guess.

Actually, the pill for enough sleep doesn’t exist at all. i’ve come to realize that swallowing that pill doesn’t give rise to any positive effects.

so guys, choose the social life and good grades. because either way, you’re not supposed to have enough sleep.

somehow, i really miss the feeling of eating dinner with some 10 people at a huge round table in a chinese restaurant in KL , or simply a zi char stall in penang, where there were so many of us we had to join 3-4 tables. i miss the feeling of being part of a huge family.

thankfully, mum’s a wonderful cook, so i didn’t miss out on too many delicacies. hahaha. whatever four treasures and the typical CNY chicken dish and abalone… mum can whip it up to a restaurant’s standard. heehee (: i was feeling a tad sad about not being able to return to malaysia this CNY, but the the smell of dinner being prepared reached my room, somehow, there was this radiating warmth.

smell = good food = feel good. hahaha. such a typical chinese right?

only thing is, MUMMY DIDN’T BUY BA KWA THIS YEAR.

mummy and i were drinking wine over dinner. the japanese kinda of plum wine that we both really like because its really sweet. hahaha. i think i drank a tad too much and my whole body started to turn pink. like sun burnt kinda pink! mum was like ‘ woah, turning into monkey already! ‘

i wish someone would deliver bakwa to my doorstep now. ): boooo

anyway, happy CNY ! ((:

enjoy the huge , fun, reunion dinners. because i’m terribly envious of those who are able to have these this year. hahaha.

and i think wearing pink shorts for squash gives me an extra boost. hahaa. like, really. i couldn’t find a single fbt shorts this morning and it was the only appropriate shorts that could be worn under skirts and for squash.

went home with sarah and we managed to get free drinks at JP. some ice lemon green tea thing at jurong point. its a new product from seasons so they were giving out free drinks. it honestly was pretty good

some douche threw his satay stick on the floor of the mall and it pierced my heel. hurt like crazy. and there’s two  holes on my heels which means that it went in and out. inconsiderate people. rubbish bin was just some 50m away.

a heartening thing was that a stranger gave me a plaster even though we didn’t talk and she didn’t ask what happened.

which is also why, i strongly believe that there is more good than evil in the society. hahahahaha. (:

bio test was bad, but squash was good. htht after school was good too.

got screamed at by this highly unreasonable teacher today. who said that we were trying to make a fashion statement by not tying up our hair and that the swimmers last year were more discrete about letting their hair down to dry while swimmers this year were not making an effort to be discrete about it at all.

hello, i was swimming last year too.

1. we were allowed to skip assembly last year. so you don’t see us roaming around school with our hair down cause we go straight to class.

2. i don’t see how its cool of us to have hair all over our faces and shoulders. so much for a fashion statement. not like we’re wearing christmas hair bands or whatsoever.

3. its not very likely for girls with long hair, to have their hair dried by EIGHT. it needs at least an hour. you should know that. and its ridiculous to request us to bring a HAIR DRYER to school to dry out hair because there simply isn’t enough time since the school is insisting that we aren’t allowed to skip assembly for morning trainings.

4. you think we wish to come at some unearthly time of 6.20 in the morning? we’d rather come later, sleep more, and reach school with our hair nicely combed, tied up and perfectly dried. but too bad, we don’t get the pool in the afternoons so we’re trying our best to schedule our training times according to the school’s wishes.

as a lady, you should understand all these. yes no?

screaming at students in the SAC, just seems to suggest that you lack the control over your emotions. other teachers also came up to ask why we had our hair down, but they were much more reasonable than you, and they were understanding once they heard of our predicament.

yes, our hair was still down at 8.30. so what? its just half an hour into curriculum time ; i don’t see what a biggie that is.

perhaps she’s just trying to do her job, but it should be her job as well, to learn to listen to students, and to differentiate who’s letting their hair down for the sake of it, and who’s letting theirs down because they need to get their hair dried.

seriously, she totally spoiled my day.

sighs. enough of that. i guess some people are just that way.

on another note, i finally managed to find some means to scan my polariods in! so here’s a bit of what i’ve been up to during the holidays.

met some of my primary school friends for lunch and a movie! haha. gosh i haven’t seen them in FIVE years!

went back to crescent with sarah! (: really miss the place. although i dislike the new coat of paint given to it. rawr rawr rawr.
ohoh, on monday, one of the girls in my ballet class came up to me excitedly and told me how much she loves crescent cause her friend’s in crescent and she saw/heard of how wonderful the school was.

Free starbucks during JCLP! (: was starbucks’ anniversary so we got free drinks in return for a donation to the salvation army. we actually got our drinks within 5 minutes cause we were the second group of people in the queue! hahaha.

not that we queued super early but i guess that outlet wasn’t a very well known one.

everytime i sing this part of the lyrics i feel this immense happiness swell from within me because i’m so so glad that God’s given me the ability to dance. there’s something magical about dance that allows you to forget everything else. i’m not exaggerating!

during ballet i’ve never ever thought of unhappy stuff. be it the competition for team places in squash, or studies, or personal issues of any sort.

synchro yesterday was freeeeeeezing . and it was pretty dark i got a little freaked out as i was swimming my laps for warm up because it looked as it it was murky and whatnot. and when i saw my team mates at the other end of the pool they just looked like black long skinny figures standing on the side i was like shiiiittttttttttt.

seriously. no kid. its freaky. not to mention that i’m too tired in the morning to wear my contact lenses so i go for synchro without mine. i actually can’t make out faces without my glasses so that is how bad it is.

i don’t understand why hodge doesn’t allow swimmers to skip morning assembly. IMO, assembly isn’t really that significant or important. if the reason is because of ‘protocol’ or tradition or whatnot, then he shouldn’t be canceling the founders’ day parade in the first place!

you see, cannot skip morning assembly = have to train earlier because synchro can’t get the pool in the afternoon = have to wake up earlier = very tired during lessons = can’t concentrate = underperform.

so cannot skip morning assembly = underperform

get it?

i’m so stressed over cca matters i really question myself if i’m in ACS to study or simply to strive for CCAs.

I really hope that the squash team would be finalized soon. because i’ll know where to go from there once it is, regardless of whether i’m in team or not. i won some matches, lost some, and i’m most probably just a reserve player because the rest are really really good.

but there’s this pressure of having to ‘safe guard’ your place because anyone could ask for a rematch with you any time and if you lose they’ll get to take your place. and i suppose the same goes for the new year 5 girls who come in, if we end up with some super pro squash chick.

I’m missing on an average of 1 squash training and 1 synchro training per week so that i can fulfill both commitments to the best of my abilities. but gosh, it IS tiring.

mon : synchro, squash [ got permission to skip though ] , ballet.

wed : squash , synchro

Fri : synchro, ballet

sat : squash

synchro’s being shifted to tues and thurs next week though, so i hope i get plenty of time to rest. only thing is that training is at 6.20 in the morning *yawns*

it already takes an incredible amount of discipline to get myself off the bed at 6.40 in the morning, and that is after repeated ‘snoozing’ from my maid and mum from 6.30 onwards.

i’ve got permission from sir to skip squash on monday as i told him about my predicament of having ballet in the evening as well. i would just die if i had squash before ballet.

ballet is no joke manz. i expected it to be challenging but not THIS challenging. my calves are still aching extremely badly from monday’s class. the pirouettes and the jumps and the relevees

no kid. from monday to wednesday. and i was crawling to the matron’s during one of my breaks to get a heat rub from her.

thing is, the pressure of wanting to be in team and perhaps, the fear of losing my position in team would most probably force me to turn up for monday trainings as well.

so monday would look something like this

6.20 – 7.30 : synchro
8-3 : lessons
3-6 : squash
6-8: K.O on the bed at home
8.45-10.30: ballet
11-1 : eat dinner, do work, study , try to not fall asleep.

this is an extremely screwed up senerio.

when i was year 5 i could go for squash after synchro, or ballet after squash.

but its year 6 and there’s so many things to look out for.

if the squash team is confirmed soon, and i’m in it, i might choose to give up synchro although I would be extremely reluctant to do so.

if i’m not in team i’d be caught between asking for rematches with the player ranking 7th and just giving up squash to focus on synchro instead.

it covers two chapters. and most unfortunately, they’re the worst chapters possible and its not like O’s whereby i can cover some 4 chapters within a day.

but no. that’s not going to happen.
